FEI Grand Prix at International Bromont: Jaclyn Duff comes out as master of the course

Bromont, July 26, 2015 – Jaclyn Duff earned an impressive win on Eh All or None on Sunday July 26 in the FEI Grand Prix of the first week of the 2015 International Bromont, at the Bromont Olympic Equestrian Park.

Of the 16 rider-horse couples competing in this first FEI Grand Prix, presented at the 40th edition of International Bromont, 9 made it to the jump-off, including Nathalie Mathers (CAN)/Pepie Lu, Bianca Lafontaine (CAN)/Kannan Lover, Ali Ramsey (CAN)/Hermelien VD Hooghoeve, Justin Prathers (CAN)/Beau Soleil, Liubov Kochetova (RUS)/Urus 2, Christine Wiggins (CAN)/ Capelle, Isabelle Lapierre (CAN) / Cescha M, and Jaclyn Duff, who qualified both her mounts, Eh All or None and Caesar Z for the second round.

The major difficulty in the jump-off, signed by coursed designer Leopoldo Palacios, came in the form of an obstacle with planks, a vertical followed by a tight turn and a change of direction. Quebec rider Isabelle Lapierre, who got the fastest clear round in the first round, took fifth place because of a fault at obstacle 16.

First in the jump-off on Eh All or None, Jaclyn Duff established the time to beat with a perfect round in 43.48 seconds. She remained unbeaten.

A first victory

The rider was delighted with her victory. “I ride Eh All or none since May only. We competed at Spruce Meadows, where I got to know him better before coming here. It is our first victory at this level”, proudly stated Jaclyn Duff.

Restart on Wednesday July 29

Sunday July 26’s Grand Prix concludes the first week of the 2015 International Bromont. Competitions will start again on Wednesday July 29, with the International Bromont II CSI3*.
