International Bromont: victory for Nicole Bellissimo in the opening FEI 1.50m event
Bromont, July 24, 2014 – On course with VDL Bellefleur, American Nicole Bellissimo takes first place for the opening FEI event at the International Bromont CSI3*-W.
Leopoldo Palacios designs an intricate course
FEI4* course designer Leopoldo Palacios (VEN) prepared a difficult course for the opening FEI event. The time allowed of 79 seconds for the first round was a major challenge: of the twenty-five pairs competing, there were no clear rounds. The best rounds with no faults over the fences but time faults determined the riders who would participate in the second round.
Five duos were called back for the jump-off: Peter Leone (USA) and Wayfarer, Kirsten Coe (USA) and Czarda’s 30, Liubov Kochetova (RUS) and Wilford 2, Nicole Bellissimo (USA) and VDL Bellefleur as well as Candice King (USA) and Ferron. With a perfect round in an impeccable time, Nicole Bellissimo claimed victory with VDL Bellefleur.
Jennifer Candele wins the Jump Canada Talent Squad Tour event
Ontarian rider Jennifer Candele, on Naiade de Kergane, finished ahead of Elizabeth Bates and Adam Hickey, both from Ontario, in the Jump Canada Talent Squad event, presented by Canadian Pacific on July 24 at the Bromont Olympic Equestrian Park. Last on the course, her strategy proves to be the right one: a measured pace helps her get ahead of Elizabeth Bates and her mount, L B Con Amore.
International Bromont webcasted
On Saturday July 26 as well as on Sunday July 27, events taking place in the jumping rings will be webcasted live on the International Bromont Internet site.
