Jump Canada Supports Three Venues with 2014 Venue Development Fund

Ottawa, Ont. April 7, 2015 — Jump Canada has granted a total of $27,500 to three Canadian competition venues through the Jump Canada Venue Development Fund.

The Jump Canada Venue Development Fund is awarded annually to show organizers or geographic groups of competitions to facilitate enhancement of venue conditions that create a positive impact for competitors.

The 2014 funds were awarded to the following venues:

• Coveside Classic (Chester, N.S.) received $7,500 for hunter and jumper jumps and related jump equipment.
• International Bromont (Bromont, Que.) received $10,000 to enlarge the site entrance, add fencing to warm-up rings, equalize the grounds of the warm-up rings, and construct a permanent administrative building.
• Caledon Pan Am Equestrian Park (Caledon, Ont.) received $10,000 for synthetic footing installation in five rings.

Each year, competitions are invited to submit applications and receipts of work completed during the current year for consideration as a Jump Canada Venue Development Fund recipient. Examples of funded programs include the purchase of jumps and safety cups, development of natural obstacles like a bank or grob, enhancements to competition facilities, and the purchase of equipment such as a ring conditioner. Facility improvements to footing and stabling on competition grounds are also considered.
